Is it legal to buy cigars online in Australia?

Yes — from a licensed Australian retailer. We are an Australian registered company: our cigars are imported through Australian customs with all duty and GST paid, and we sell only to adults aged 18 and over within Australia. Unlike overseas grey-market sites, your order is a normal domestic delivery — there is no customs risk to you.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver Australia-wide, with one exception: South Australia. SA law prohibits tobacco being sold to SA consumers by internet, phone or mail order, so we cannot accept orders for delivery into SA. All deliveries require an adult (18+) signature.

How long does delivery take?

Orders are processed within 1–3 business days. Standard delivery typically takes 2–5 business days and express 1–2 business days, depending on your location. You'll receive tracking once your order ships.

What payment methods do you accept?

PayID (instant, from any Australian bank app) or bank transfer. Place your order, then pay using the instructions shown at checkout and emailed to you — and message us on the live chat for instant payment confirmation and fast processing. Credit card payments are coming soon.

Do your prices include GST?

Yes. Every price on this site includes GST, and the tobacco customs duty has already been paid on importation. The price you see is the full price — a tax invoice is provided with your order.

What happens if my cigars arrive damaged?

Contact us at info@sydneycigarclub.com.au as soon as you can with photos of the packaging and cigars. If your order arrives damaged or isn't what you ordered, we'll replace it or refund you — including any return postage — as required by the Australian Consumer Law.

Can I return my order?

If a product is faulty, damaged in transit, or not what you ordered, you're covered by the Australian Consumer Law consumer guarantees and we'll make it right. Because cigars are perishable and stored to strict humidity standards, we can't accept change-of-mind returns once packaging is opened — please choose carefully or start with a sampler.

Are your cigars authentic?

Yes — authenticity is guaranteed. We source through official distribution channels, verify bands, boxes and seals on arrival, and store everything humidified until it ships. If a cigar we sold you turns out not to be genuine, you get your money back.

Do I need to be a certain age to buy?

Yes. It is illegal to sell tobacco products to anyone under 18 in Australia. We verify your date of birth at checkout and every delivery requires an adult signature with photo ID.

How should I store cigars in the Australian climate?

Keep cigars at roughly 16–18°C and 65–70% relative humidity — a humidor or an airtight container with a two-way humidity pack. Australian summers are hard on cigars, so keep them out of direct sun and away from air conditioning. See our storage guide in the Journal for a full walkthrough.
